Lyndon is two! Wow – I can’t wrap my head around how fast kids grow and learn. Cue sappy music. Lyndon is my little sponge and I’m so proud of him. He’s strong willed (ahem: stubborn) and tenacious. He knows his ABCs, 123s, shapes, colors – you name it! He amazes me everyday and I’m so grateful to have him in my life.

Like most little ones his age, he’s been obsessing with trains lately. So, the obvious theme for his second birthday party would, of course, follow suit.

I love the weather in October in Georgia. We get a reprieve from the heat!

Choo choo!

My mom made this cake and she did a great job! Lyndon is also drum obsessed. He drums on anything and everything. So, this is a hybrid train/drum cake!

Train Birthday Party

I saw so many adorable train birthday party ideas on Pinterest – thus, my electrical tape train tracks and dollar store aluminum train cars to display the food. Easy and inexpensive!

The “Baggage Claim” party favors were just dollar spot bubble wands.

I love his little smile. Happy Birthday time!

Mmm… cake! He’s still getting used to that fork contraption.

“Mama, I want to go play!” Okay, fine, Mama just needed some birthday cuddles.

I love that little man something fierce!

I hope everyone out there is enjoying the holiday season so far. We’re in the thick of it for sure! This year will be the first Thanksgiving my husband and I have hosted. Hubby’s on food duty, thankfully.

Best wishes!
